libRabbitMQ V1.0 released on OpenVMS Integrity Servers

libRabbitMQ provides an API that can be used by OpenVMS-based software applications to exchange data via AMQP (the Advanced Message Queuing Protocol).
The API is primary intended for use with the RabbitMQ broker (see http://www.rabbitmq.org), but it can in theory be used with any other AMQP broker that fully supports versions 0.8.0 or 0.9.1 of AMQP. libRabbitMQ for HP OpenVMS is based on an experimental C API developed by the RabbitMQ team2 and has been designed so that it can be used with most programming languages that are available on OpenVMS, including C, FORTRAN, COBOL, and Pascal.

The authors would like to acknowledge the support and assistance of the RabbitMQ team in the creation of this release.

Please see the BC&JA home page for additional information on the Erlang, RabbitMQ and other open source products ported to and available on OpenVMS.
